STANDING RESOLUTIONS

1) John S. Henderson moved, and John E. Jack Kelly seconded, the First Standing Resolution that the dress for the regular meetings of the Council be tuxedo, jewel, and apron where appropriate, e.g. Scottish Rite Cathedral. It was noted on some occasions it may not be appropriate to wear the apron because the Council might be meeting in a public facility. The resolution was passed unanimously. (Adopted unamimously December 16, 1990)

2) A Second Standing Resolution was moved by Senior Warden Reese L. Harrison, Jr., seconded by John S. Henderson and passed unanimously that when balloting upon candidates for membership in San Antonio Council, you may only vote for a proposal in membership and not against a proposal for membership and that the Royal Arch Companions receiving the most votes would fill any vacancies in order of the number of votes cast. For example if there were three vacancies for membership and five companion Royal Arch Masons were proposed for membership, the three Royal Arch Masons receiving the most votes would fill the three vacancies. (Adopted unanimously December 29, 1990)

3) Senior Warden Reese L. Harrison, Jr. proposed a Third Standing Resolution that if a member failed to wear his members jewel or officers jewel to a meeting of San Antonio Council, he would pay a fine of $1.00 into the treasury of the Council. The motion was seconded by Gerald F. Nowotny and passed unanimously. (Adopted unanimously December 29, 1990)
